Well, that might sound like a very easy task but today it was a challenge.
So why didn't I just get in my car and go to the store?
(Namely I fell back to sleep and lost my opportunity to go to the store at that crazy hour)
Why not just send my husband?
Well, that too sounded like logical reasons for sure, but today it was out of the question.
Why? I don't think you really want to know.
(Okay you do? there is a sickness in my house that has us grounded. That's all the hints I will give to this unpleasant bug)
As for my hubby, actually, I thought about waking him up. He's good like that. He'd go if I asked him. I thought and though until 3:15am and then decided against it. He planned to leave at 4:45am this morning for work, so I didn't think applesauce was that important to get him up an hour early.
So at 6:00am when I awoke again, I did the next best thing: make my own.
Thankfully, I had all the ingredients on hand.
I got right to work.
I remember gramps loving to make homemade applesauce and tapioca puddings. It was one way to make the house smell great and keep the grand kids happy.
I remember him taking the applesauce and grinding it up with a handy dandy apparatus. He always just had the right tool for the right job.
(I found one recently at Ace Hardware. I hope it works as good as his.)
Boy is he missed.
It's really simple to do and really very little effort.
I just hope it settles well in my kiddos today. lol
After all, they're the reason I am up slaving over the kitchen.
Well, however your day find you today,
My thought:
Try HomeMade.
Blessings.
