How has the Lord Loved you?
Take a memory walk with me.
Where were you a year ago with your understanding of God?
Where were you 5 years ago?
How about 10 years ago?
Can you go back to 15 years ago?
Okay maybe 20?
Depending on your age, you can keep going back.
Think, Remember, Ponder for a moment.
How has the Lord loved you?
Do you sense His love wrapping all about your life? I do.
I think of the family He put me in.
I can think of the times He comforted me through pain and loss.
I can think of the jobs he provided me with.
I can think of my salvation and all things associated with being His child.
The moments of Him putting songs in my heart to write.
The times of His presence in pure worship before Him.
His whispers of love through His Word and in meditation of those things.
The times of His answered to prayer.
Giving me opportunity to speak of His love to the lost.
Giving me a husband
Giving me children
Answering prayer.
The list goes on and on.
Too each of things there are tons of God Stories and I love Him for that.
How has the Lord Loved You?
More specifically. All through out my life, God has done something really wonderful for me. He puts fallen roses and flowers in my path. Time and time again as I am walking through the years, I would almost step on these flowers that were before my feet. It's happened so often in just the right moment, it can only be Divinely placed.
I remember specifically one of the first ones. I was walking into South Coast Plaza mall early in the morning to get a cup of coffee. It was around the time, I was in a relationship that I felt God was calling me to leave. Sometimes, you just want to hold on to them because you want someone to hold on too. So I was really talking to the Lord about this. As I walked on the sidewalk, in front of me was a fallen rose: beautifully yellow and pinkish mixed. It still had it's long stem on it and almost looked perfect with just a hint of a worn out. I was laying there all alone. No one in sight. No one around. I looked around. I looked up. I looked everywhere and all was quiet around me. I walked over to it. Picked it up. I still looked around. I sensed the Lord speak to my heart, "I love you."
I knew God was saying that His love was enough for me. He wanted me to let go of that person, and to hold on to Him.
It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but looking back that guy wasn't my husband. I would have been wasting my time to stay in that relationship where there would have been no future.
Not every time had such a big reason for me. I just am reminded of God's love for me every time I see a fallen flower.
The other day after I told my children about how God shows His love for me, we were walking down at the beach. My son yelled and ran to a fallen flower, "Mom, God really does that for you," as he picked up and handed to me. "Yes, son and He's just done that for you too."

IF you haven't seen God move like that in your life, simply ask Him.
His love for you isn't any different for you or for me.
I hope waking down memory, spurs your heart for your relationship with Him.
Blessings.
