What a Smile!
I just had to share her video with you. I couldn't resist the sweetness.

I grew up on this song.
The other day when my heart was heavy, this song came to my mind.
I quickly looked it up on YouTube and found it. (I was so happy)
I played it for my kids, and one (the cutie above) took to it so much.
She hasn't stopped playing it and dancing around.
The other morning she came to me and said, "mom I need my song". She plugged in her headset and began to smile, sing, and swing around.
I can't tell you how that ministered my heart.
The Bible says in Matthew 18:3-4
and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
Childlike faith.
Here I had been so heavy hearted about things, and watched my little one, just enjoying her life. She wasn't burdened out, she was striving, or anxious about the day, she was just loving on the Lord and being Happy in Jesus.
I do believe that God honors that kind of faith and dependency.
Somehow, we as adults forget to be happy like a child. To enjoy the simple pleasures of life like swinging on swings, and eating ice cream cones, stopping to smell a flower, and knowing God is taking care of us.
(I think some simple pleasures need to be reinstated.)
How did I get so far away from this child like faith?
I don't know but I bet if we attain such abandonment to Christ, we would be quite joyful no matter what kind of day we are facing.
I know life is hard but there is something so freeing, just to sing a song in the midst of the trial and know God is working in our situation for His plan and purposes.
If you are heavy hearted, I encourage you to read Matthew 6, it just reminds us how much our God is really doing behind the scenes.
