For me, I just stood in awe watching my kids. Here they were at the end of the bridge peering around the beautiful view, unaware that I was just watching them instead of the view. I was close by, and as they were focused outward, I was focused inward. Thoughts gripped my heart.
I got this feeling that in Christ, as I am raising them in the Lord, there will be one day that they will take this walk of faith all on their own.(My heart let out a bit of a cry...Not yet Lord) They will face trials, tribulations, elations, joys and learn to walk a walk between God and them. God will take them on their own journey, He will be the one they look to, He will be the voice in their souls that lead them forward in life. He will call them out to stretch, strengthen, and secure their faith in His Almighty power. He will walk them on...
It was a quick moment of thought that made me capture this picture.
While they are still young, still in my arms, still drawing from me, I will be thankful and intentional at leading them to Christ. I will cherish them and do what I can for them, and when that day comes that they will walk on their own, I pray that I will be there for them to come running home too.
As Christ will be their lead, I know that they will be in the best care ever.(I will be less and He will increase in their lives. I cry just thinking about that. WOW, I love my little ones and can't imagine them grown up...to emotional right now, sorry)
I just tear up to think about how they are growing up so quickly. I don't want them ever to leave the house but I know that I need to prepare to let them go if they should choose that too. (I don't think my "in Laws' will really want to move here but who knows, right?! I am open, lol)
Anyway, we all have a walk of faith. It looks different, it feels different, it is different, yet the same constant stream of strength is God. We can trust in Him completely, and trust that whatever He leads us to and through, He is there. God is with us. His Spirit is in us; we are not alone. Jesus came and was tempted in every point we could imagine; He understands.
Rest in Faith that HE KNOWS HE CARES HE IS IN COMPLETE CONTROL.
Faith walks where there is no road.
Blessing to you.
