A couple of things: motivation and little helpers
I dread it when clothes pile up and especially when I clean them and there still is a mound that haven't found their way in their respectful hiding spots. Urr but it happens all to frequently here.
MOTIVATION
A friend came over and I was so embarrassed when she left because I had forgot about all clothes just laying on my couch in my room awaiting their final destination. She went to hang with my kiddos and my doors to our room were wide open. OPPPS. She saw the reality of a mother of 3 and a desperate wife trying to hold it all together: you just can't. I always say the 3 vices of motherhood: DISHES, LAUNDRY, and DON'T.
So I was bound and determined to do better.
Well, I went to work. Keep working. Continued working. Labored in working. Finally finished working as the stars illuminated the sky.
TIME SAVING TECHNIQUE
I forgot to take the picture of the pile up, but the nicely folded pile up, I have to say. One thing that I do that makes it all go faster is that I fold ALL and I mean ALL the clothes on my bed. Each family member has a section of the bed laid out for all there items. Away we go. One piece of Laundry after the next, the next, the next and the next.
Once all the clothes are finished and all is finished, then comes my second aid: my kids.
LITTLE HELPERS
I love the fact that my kiddos help in the chores. They don't fit about it, they love to help. Even my 3 year old will pick up her piles and put them in her drawer. It's great. READY, GET SET, GO...sometimes you just have to "WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK" or make a game out of it.
So my little helpers were off and helping and I was off and then soon after a bit of time; we were done.
HORRAY the LAUNDRY IS DONE.
But some how this Laundry Basket started getting filled up again.
The cycle of life.
