There is no smell that I love more than baked goods in the oven. The Fresh straight out of the oven taste is so yummy and so desirable. Right?
Same is true with God's Word: fresh is best.
Everyday, get the new daily dough of God's Word and let it bake in your mind all day until the aroma of Christ just diffused through you. Wow!!! I might be overboard but I think this is going in the right direction. LOL
I was just reading through Exodus, when Moses just led the people out of Egypt. For 40 years God provided for them in the wilderness: shelter, clothes (actually their shoes never wore out in 40 years can you imagine that. Anybody have shoes that lasted 40 years of daily walking in them? I doubt it.), and water and food. It was recounted that when they woke up every morning "manna" would be on the ground for them to gather and in turn use to bake and eat for that day. Any Manna left over would rot that night and Fresh Manna was to be picked up again the next day. FRESH is BEST.
What God showed you yesterday is to build on today, and tomorrows starts today as you daily glean in His Word.
Don't neglect the fresh daily food of His Word; just like fresh baked bread, you are sure to enjoy it.
