Through out my life, I've been such a fan of Journaling. In fact, I have boxed of journals in my garage that I just can't part from.
Lately, though I haven't been journalling. I've been having my devotions through audio media and just thinking about it through the day. However, I wanted something more, something to make what I am learning more concrete for me. So, I decided to journal again.
There is something about writing down your heart's cries, the promises you find in the Word, and the prayers for your life. I find that it helps to release these issues to the Lord. It also helps to keep my thoughts on track and not to wonder all over the place.
Journalling is so Wonderful.
I think of all the times the Lord told his people,"write it down." There is just something about it that takes devotion time with God to another level.
You can also use it as a place of recall. You can reread through them at a later date, and see all that God has done since that specific moment in time.
No one is too young to start journalling. Those who can write their A-B-C can do it. You really only need a paper and pen to get started. I am encouraging my kids to write in journals too. This can help them release their emotions and give them the tool to turn to God for your problems.
What I like?
I love bound books for journals so that you have all the pages together.
Do what you want, try it however you feel and see if you experience what I have.
Let me know how it goes.
Blessings.
