It's never fun to hit a bump in the road.
(No I didn't hit the guy in front of me: that's Eddie and the kids.)
When everything is seemingly going smoothly, until you find out you've done something completely wrong and then you are stuck in your tracks. This happened in our painting adventure. We were instructed to use certain primers for our walls and ceilings, but it turns out we were told to use the wrong product. Now, we have to go back and redo an entire project because of this error.
Sometimes, it's really about: living and learning.
Yikes.
I just kept saying to my self: It's Earth.
You know I've been so head strong in all these decisions. There have been moments of wonderful victories and blessings, and then there have been feelings of defeat. I've been irritated at the small details that have been wrong, worrying about this or that, and then elated to see the progress.
What an up and down, moment to moment journey.
Yet, when I pull myself away from the details and step back to see the entire project as a whole, it helps to know that it's going to be okay.
It's Earth.
This is my temporary home.
It's Earth.
These three words have been comforting me lately and putting my mind into proper perspective.
It's Earth.
I can't take these sticks and stones with me when I leave this Earth. They all stay here.
It's Earth.
I still want it to be pretty, but at the end of the day...
It's Earth.
After we discovered this error, we had to move forward on the project where we could.
So it was more work to be done, decisions to be made, and a whole lot of other things we had to do.

Unfortunately, the little dove didn't make it. Our day started with a burial of that sweet bird.
Even more reminders: It's Earth.

With all the confusion and choas of the morning, my dad graciously took the kiddos our for an evening with Papa and our cousin.
It was time to get back the the job the correct way to doing things.
Mom came to be and active support to get things done. She has us right on schedule. We need it.
I sampled more paints.
Then called it a night at grandma's house.
I was able to talk to my Aunt who gave me wonderful encouragement about fixing up houses.
I also liked the paint in my grams house so I decided I am going to use it in my bedroom.
I will think of them always because of it.
Then it was time to rest for another day was fast approaching.
Blessings.
