Today we started out by visiting a flag that honors my 2nd cousin for going into the the Air Force. It's just down the street from our house, so the kids and I decided to do that first before anything else.
Then to our surprise, the carpet was hanging out at our house.
We just had to get a picture of it.
I hope it looks great.

While I was inside checking on the flooring, the kids headed straight to the backyard.
Can't see why? Just kidding.

The flooring is pretty much in and the bedrooms are being prepped for the carpet. Hoorraayy.
I went with a laminate flooring in Heather Oak and carpet called Eternal Sand.

I love seeing the craftsmen work. I love the saw dust flying and the skill of this guy. He really worked hard and did an outstanding job for us. Thank you so much.
Then it was off to the paint store yet again.
This time to color match my daughters room. The kids always come up with some way to make the store fun.

Back at the home, my dad and hubby were busy away at the yards. I love the smell of freshly cut grass. It really is exciting.
On the inside, Joshie was so excited. His room was finished: carpet in. He immediately ran and started rolling all over the place. Glad he likes it.
Although the girls room isn't quite in, they had a fun time getting used to it.
It was definitely time for a break.
Dinner was served.

Someone lost a toothie!!!
Then it was back to chores: fixing things, painting things, and cleaning up things.
Well, here's my hats off to the things I have to say goodbye too: Masks and paint samples.
You know I've had quite the journey with both these items.
I can say I am still a bit attached to them.
Don't know if I will get rid of any of them. Maybe they can be some kind of memorial to the hard work of construction and design.
What a journey it has been.

For the first time, the kiddos are running around our house without shoes.
They don't have to wear masks any more, no watching out for nails and other hazards, and definitely don't have to worry about getting filthy clothes from the inside of the house.
It's all about dirt from the play yard fun now; muddy puddles and all kinds of fun.
Such a good feeling to be at this stage.
No we are completely done, but the moving idea is almost tangible now.
Can't wait.
Blessings.
