The other day when I was watering outside, a surprise rainbow appeared. It just so happened that when I saw it, I forgot that my son was standing in that area. I soaked him in the process of watching the rainbow appear. Of course, he loved it and shouted at his sister to come and get in on the action.
I quickly grabbed my camera. To my amazement, I actually captured the rainbow on film. When I looked closer at the image, it wasn't a single rainbow that I saw but a double one. God is so good. Thank you God for your hidden blessings. Double Blessings for me.
I began to think of the storms and rains that pour upon us in this life. If we could but see the rainbow or "promises" of God as we journey through these difficult times, instead of seeing only the rain how different we would walk through them. May this picture remind us all that there are rainbows of God's promises in the rain. We just have to look for them. "Grace and Peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as His divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness...Whereby are given unto us Exceeding Great and Precious Promises; that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature..."(2 Peter 1:2-4 partial)
I bet no matter what rain you are in today, there is a scripture to comfort you. Go seeking, Go searching, even Call a friend for Prayer. You are not alone.
Don't just stand in the rain, Look for the rainbows within.
I am going to try.
