It's funny how when kids sleep, we moms keep going.
My laundry was finished and I was desperate to fold them before too many wrinkles would set in.
So I came to my bed and lo and behold, my precious one was nestled away sleeping so content.
Oh well, I said to myself, I better get to folding. Just very quietly, of course.
(I look back on the picture and can't believe I just didn't fold it somewhere else. Desperate times, desperate measures.)
So I folded and folded and folded while that one slept.
I listened to her breath, I watched her sleep and couldn't believe how she has grown in 5 years. I went right into reminiscing mode. I kept thinking back on her growth and development. Here they start out as such dependent little one, until they get to walking and want to do everything by themselves. It was just a sweet time watching her slumber.
I kept going on to other chores that day.
Sometimes in the business, we just need to stop and reflect back.
Some how, it just made the laundry not so overwhelming and more of a joy.
Joy that we have been provided for throughout my kids lives, joyful that my little one was in a safe place, joy that we just have time together. Just Joyful.
If you are in a hurry, slow down. Take a moment to reflect, then pick up and keep on going.
David did this when he brought the ark back to Israel; he took 6 steps and then worshipped.
NO, I don't do this literally (I would look funny of course) But I think you get the point.
Take time in the hustle and bustle to enjoy something, someone, somewhere.
God has been so good; hasn't He?
Blessings.
