A Michtam of David.
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
Psa 16:2
O my soul, you have said to the LORD,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
Psa 16:3
As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
Psa 16:4
Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
Nor take up their names on my lips.
Psa 16:5
O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
Psa 16:6
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
Psa 16:7
I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
Psa 16:8
I have set the LORD always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Psa 16:9
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
Psa 16:10
For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
Psa 16:11
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

Your Thoughts
1.Looking over this Psalm, was there a particular verse that you liked?
Read that verse over again.
It could even be a phrase.
No matter if it's one verse, one phrase, or one single word, Stop and think
about it for just a minute.
2. Why do you think you like it?
Have you been experiencing something in your life that resonated with this verse?
Possibly, Right?
3. That's the Word speaking to you.
4. Pray and Thank God for this revelation and ask Him to make it clear how He wants to use it in your life

My Thoughts
This is the first "Michtam" Psalm. The actual meaning is known yet some think it means a poem and other say it's a Golden Jewel. This is a Messianic Psalm. (JVernon McGee)
I think there are so many beautiful verses here. Some of the verses are quoted in the New Testament (Verse 1 Hebrews 2:13) and(verse 8 is Peters speech in Acts 2 of the resurrection of Christ) and (verse 10 Paul uses in Acts 13), and yet other just speak to me in my personal life.
Verse 8 "I've set the LORD always before me."
Do we do this? Do we put the Lord always before us?
I think this is such a healthy practice to do.
Could you imagine if you could see God always by your side?
Would that change the way you behave, the way you think, the way you might
live your life?
I know for me that would be awesome. I just got a picture of a kid that had and invisible super hero and everywhere he'd go, his super hero was there with him. He would be so brave and so confident because he knew the super hero was there to help him every step of the way. What a way to life?
If we really understand that God's presence is with us, would me have any need for anxieties or fears. The truth is He is always with us.
We need to practice this. Talk to God was if he was right by your side.Walk in life confident that He is right next to you, and be bold for Jesus knowing that He is watching and empowering you to live the life that God has set before you.
God, our bigger than a super hero, is right here.
My God be the filter that you filter every part of your life through.
God affirms that you will not be moved.
He knows
Blessings.
