Look what greeted me this morning:Star or Planet? I don't know but two little lights were smiling at me through the window.
[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, andrejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Read that verse over again.
It could even be a phrase.
No matter if it's one verse, one phrase, or one single word, Stop and think
about it for just a minute.
2. Why do you think you like it?
Have you been experiencing something in your life that resonated with this verse?
3. That's the Word speaking to you.
4. Pray and Thank God for this revelation and ask Him to make it clear how He wants to use it in your life
God is so funny sometimes with me.
In fact, this morning I couldn't sleep. I woke up around 5:45 and just couldn't go back to sleep. I did all I could do to get comfortable again, but to no avail. So, I did the next best thing: make a cup of tea. I wandered downstairs thinking of what I could do after my tea was finished brewing. "I know I will sit and shop on the internet", I schemed. LOL That sounded good to me on this cold Saturday morning. So I fixed my tea and headed to the couch and plopped down.
Then it happened.
I turned my head out our huge window above me. There blazing in brilliance were two shining planets or stars staring at me. It was complete darkness outside except for these two lights. I really marveled at their beauty. How they just captivated my attention with their radiance, like diamonds on black velvet.
I laughed. Oh God you woke me up just to see those wondrous wandering stars. Thank you. However, I just felt like there was more to the story.
Then I thought, "I bet anything today's Psalm is going to have to do with the stars" I didn't know at that time, but it was all confirmed when I put my shopping spree down and settled into God's Word.
I put on my headphones to hear what the next Psalm was and Boom...this is what I heard...
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
I smiled, I laughed, I shook my head. OH God you are so funny. So true So True, I can see you God all over this canvas of celestial creativeness. (how's that for an alliteration)
Guys, I believe God did all this for you this morning. Why?
Because He knew I would be blogging about Psalm 19 today, and wanted it to get practical.
He wants you to know that He is an incredible God that loves to be involved in your life.
He will wake you up to see the Glory of His magnificence. He will do what He can to get your attention, and then you'll come away so joyful because you've been in the presence of the Lord. I honestly can't help but smile.
I think God truly just wanted someone to see his creative display this morning. To God be the Glory.
I really think He was saying to you all that He is real, He is here, and the stars and Earth reflect His hand all over the place. He's powerful, He's awesome, and better yet He is approachable.
He loves you, He loves you, He loves you.
Since, typing the blog this morning, the two wandering stars have continued their journey today (Okay it's because the Earth rotated)and the all darkness is turning to light because the sun is fast approaching. HUMMMM
Think of it, we are like those little lights shining in the darkness of the world. Yet one day all darkness will flee forever for the Son will appear at the daybreak and flood the Universe with His glory.
You are diamonds in the darkness, keep shining the brilliance of God.
If you ever get discouraged, look up to the night or morning heavens and be reminded you are like a shining star reflecting the Lord's light in the black of nights.
Soon the Son will come, Soon. The Son will overtake it all.
Taking it further
Oh there is so much more to this Psalm, but I just couldn't write about it now.
If you want to be blessed even more, write down all the benefits from God's Word in verses (7-11), then make verse 14 your prayer. It's awesome stuff. I am so excited.
But for now I will keep looking at my pictures and reflecting on all that God did this morning for you and me.
Enjoy the Journey, I am.
