To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
Psa 20:2
May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
Psa 20:3
May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
Psa 20:4
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
Psa 20:5
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.
Psa 20:6
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
Psa 20:7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Psa 20:8
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
Psa 20:9
Save, LORD!
May the King answer us when we call.
May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
Psa 20:2
May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
Psa 20:3
May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
Psa 20:4
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
Psa 20:5
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.
Psa 20:6
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
Psa 20:7
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Psa 20:8
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
Psa 20:9
Save, LORD!
May the King answer us when we call.

Possibly, Right?

My Thoughts
SI listened to this Psalm over and over again this morning.
I was so comforted by it.
I woke up with a lot of petitions on my heart and was feeling a bit overwhelmed. However, after praying and reading this Psalm, my anxious heart was set at ease.
This portion really spoke to me.
(verse 6)
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
First, I felt strengthen to know that my prayers are being heard.
Do you know that today? Do you know that God really hears us and listens to what we say?
I like to think on the Majesty of God when I pray. It helps me focus on who I am praying to. Sometimes I think we can get lost in our cares that we forget just who we are talking to.
Secondly, He is going to answer. Awesome. He is going to show up somewhere in all these petitions.
Thirdly, He is going to save us with His strength. Saving Strength.
Do you need that today?
Remember He Knows, He Answers, He Saves.
I like how the next verse ties into the former. (verse 7)
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
It's a real affirmation. WE WILL Remember or TRUST in he Name of LORD our GOD.
Say this: I WILL TRUST in the Name of the LORD.
I will TRUST, I WILL trust, I WILL TRUST!!!!
Or you can sing the song about it.

What could we be trusting in? Cars, Houses, Bank accounts, IRA, 401k, Our Healthy Diets, Our Knowledge, Our Wisdom, Ourself?
Those are all great to have, yet TRUST needs to be in something Unshakable, Stable, Unchanging: Jehovah.
Then it ends with Hosanna, (Save I Pray).
We trust in the Lord to hear, to save, to strengthen us and He will.
Whatever your are going through today, I encourage you to put your Trust in the Dependable God.
He will guide you, He will answer you, He will take care of you.
He loves you.
Some trust in Horses, but what about you?
Blessings
