Psalm of David.
The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
Psa 24:2
For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.
Psa 24:3
Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
Psa 24:4
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
Psa 24:5
He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psa 24:6
This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah
Psa 24:7
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:8
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
Psa 24:9
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:10
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah

Have you been experiencing something in your life that resonated with this verse?
Possibly, Right?
3. That's the Word speaking to you.
4. Pray and Thank God for this revelation and ask Him to make it clear how He wants to use it in your life

My Thoughts
Can you hear the songs written from this Psalm?
Give us Clean Hand by Chris Tomlin
King of Glory by Chris Tomlin
I love how people are so inspired to write music with these words, after all they were meant to be sung. One day I am going to ask David to sing them to me how he first wrote them. I think that would be so awesome: private worship lesson with David. LOL
VS 7 This Psalm might have been written when the Ark was brought into the place David arranged for it in Jerusalem. Also it could be foreshadowing to when Jesus ascended back into heaven. (J Vernon McGee)
No matter why David wrote it, can you see the excitement he had? Look at verse 7 and 9
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in
This is repeated twice.
You know what I picture for you and I? That this is how we should come into the House of God: excited that God is going to come in and be with us. God inhabits the praises of His people.
We should continue to be ready to hear the Lord's voice and prepare our hearts to listen to what He tells us. Maybe you already are like this and that's wonderful. I just know sometimes things that are routines can loose a bit of their luster. Sometimes, I know I need to be reminded why I go to church, it's to hear from God. I also like how David writes how we are to enter in:
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name (Ps 100:4)
May the next time we prepare to go to church, may we enter in this way: thankful, praising Him, and blessing His name.
Could you imagine what kind of worship you'd have? Can you imagine the worship you would have just on your ride to church? Wow, how cool would that be if you were already singing to God before you ever entered in.
Okay may you do this already, but if not, let's try it.
Let's see if the next time you are planning to go to church, you already have your own worship time with God and see what happens after.
I'm excited to try, I hope my kids will think so too.
Keep loving Him, for He loves you completely.
Blessings
P.S. Remember He is the Lord over all.
