A Psalm of David.
To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock:
Do not be silent to me,
Lest, if You are silent to me,
I become like those who go down to the pit.
Psa 28:2
Hear the voice of my supplications
When I cry to You,
When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.
Psa 28:3
Do not take me away with the wicked
And with the workers of iniquity,
Who speak peace to their neighbors,
But evil is in their hearts.
Psa 28:4
Give them according to their deeds,
And according to the wickedness of their endeavors;
Give them according to the work of their hands;
Render to them what they deserve.
Psa 28:5
Because they do not regard the works of the LORD,
Nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destroy them
And not build them up.
Psa 28:6
Blessed be the LORD,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!
Psa 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
Psa 28:8
The LORD is their strength,fn
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
Psa 28:9
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.

My Thoughts
Are you longing for an answer for a prayer today?
Verses 6 Know the Lord has heard you. He is the saving strength of our lives. He is your Rock to hold onto throughout the time of waiting.
Verse 7
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
I love this because it seems to be a reflection of David. He encourages himself in the Present strength and shield he has in God. He then reflects on the Past of how he already received help through trusting. Then the Result for Future is that David will make a song to Praise God.
I can say that is so true for me today.
God is my present help in time of trouble. He already has helped me through many times that are just way to many to count. Therefore, I want to keep praising Him, keep singing to Him, and writing things that reflect my gratitude for all He has done.
Can you look back and see God's hand in your life?
Think!
For those times, God can be praised today.
Even as you wait for answers and continue to seek God for guidance, you can make a song of praise for Him. Praise Him for what he's done, praise Him for what He is doing (even if you don't know), and praise Him for what He's about to do.
It's just a great idea to know that now matter what we face, He is worthy to be praised.
May the Lord enrich your heart, turning sorrow to joy, morning to rejoicing, as you focus on The Lord our God and His goodness over our very lives.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Blessings.
(It helps to have worship music on in the car, iPods, and in the home. Especially if you are facing very hard circumstances. Let the music minister to you. Let the praise of God surround you, so that your heart will stay soft in Him through the pain. Often in difficulty, I will turn on instrumental praise. Sometimes it's too hard to hear word, you just need the music to help heal. If that's you today, I am praying that you will feel and experience God's comfort right now. "Trust in the Lord and Lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge God, and He will direct your steps." Proverbs 3:5-6. He loves you.)
