A Psalm of David.
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
Psa 37:2
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Psa 37:3
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Psa 37:4
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psa 37:5
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
Psa 37:6
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Psa 37:7
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Psa 37:8
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret--it only causes harm.
Psa 37:9
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
Psa 37:10
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
Psa 37:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Psa 37:12
The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
Psa 37:13
The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
Psa 37:14
The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
Psa 37:15
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.
Psa 37:16
A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psa 37:17
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the LORD upholds the righteous.
Psa 37:18
The LORD knows the days of the upright,
And their inheritance shall be forever.
Psa 37:19
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time,
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psa 37:20
But the wicked shall perish;
And the enemies of the LORD,
Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish.
Into smoke they shall vanish away.
Psa 37:21
The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
Psa 37:22
For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
Psa 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
Psa 37:24
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
Psa 37:25
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
Psa 37:26
He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.
Psa 37:27
Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
Psa 37:28
For the LORD loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:29
The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.
Psa 37:30
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
And his tongue talks of justice.
Psa 37:31
The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.
Psa 37:32
The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
Psa 37:33
The LORD will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.
Psa 37:34
Wait on the LORD,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
Psa 37:35
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
Psa 37:36
Yet he passed away,fn and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
Psa 37:37
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
Psa 37:38
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:39
But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
Psa 37:40
And the LORD shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
Psa 37:2
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.

Your Thoughts
1.Looking over this Psalm, was there a particular verse that you liked?
Read that verse over again.
It could even be a phrase.
No matter if it's one verse, one phrase, or one single word, Stop and think
about it for just a minute.
2. Why do you think you like it?
Have you been experiencing something in your life that resonated with this verse?
Possibly, Right?
3. That's the Word speaking to you.
4. Pray and Thank God for this revelation and ask Him to make it clear how He wants to use it in your life

My Thoughts
As I am listening to the Psalm on BibleGateway I am recording the actions words I hear in this Psalm.
God calls us not only to be hearers but doers of the Word, so here are some doing things we can be doing as a Christians. LOL

Trust in Him
Rest in the Lord
Wait Paitenct
Fret Not
Cease from Anger
Forsake Wrath
Fret Not

Behold the upright
I like this list. I reread them. How can we apply these words to our lives? By doing them.
Do Good, Fret Not, Delight in the Abundance of Peace.
As we do these things, we will have Peace. You will. Try it.
We need these things because life is filled with the opposite, evil, anger, anxieties, chaos. Look how David starts to contrast the life of the the Evil verse Righteous.
I think he did this, in order to encourage us that it is going to be okay.
As we trust in the Lord, we will be safe.
David has seen with his own eyes how an evil man has perished. He is encouraging us to
Trust God in all of this.
(verse 35-36)
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
Yet he passed away,fn and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
As we Trust in the Lord, we will have a proper perspective of the evil around us.
You see the hand of the wicked will not last. There is a time when they are allowed
to do their evil deeds, yet God is going stop them.
They might have the Earth right now, but they do not gain Heaven.
I think of the fear of Islam around the globe. You can see all the media of all the killings, and wicked acts. It's horrible. Yet God is doing to put it down soon.
God will protect His people. We have to trust in Him, and be obedient to what He is calling us to do. Look at these next verses about the schemes of the wicked.
I like this (Psalm 37:14-15)
The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.
I like that the Lord will turn the thoughts of the wicked back on to themselves.
"No weapon formed against us shall prosper" Isaiah 54:17
Christians have always been targeted by the wicked. Evil rulers have tried to wipe out those who follow Jesus but they fail. God is sovereign and will only allow evil to go so far.
Trust in the Lord in these evil days we live in.
He will guide you and protect you and you will see the evil scheme turn upon the wicked.
God's protection is for today.
You are surrounded by His angels and His strong arm.
Everyday, before I go out, I pray.
"Lord keep us from dangers seen and unseen."
You see I commit my steps and day to him and I know that God will order my steps. NO matter what I go through, I know God has already gone before me and will help me with every encounter I face.
(Verse 23)
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way
I like the ending of the Psalm (Verse39-40)
But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
And the LORD shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.
God is God and what He says will be. You are safe in the Lord's arms.
Thinking of the end of evil helps to not fear.
Their end is worse then what they do here on Earth.
Plus,
we have Almighty God watching out for us, not that's protection of the Highest Intelligence.
Don't fear them, Fear the Lord.
Think of the actions words we are called to do. Try putting them in practice and see what change, comfort, and growth you will have in your character. They all lend themselves to a more peaceful, anxiety free life.
Enjoy God's Word; It's meant to bring you Peace.
