Vindicate me, O God,
And plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
Psa 43:2
For You are the God of my strength;
Why do You cast me off?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Psa 43:3
Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your tabernacle.
Psa 43:4
Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God my exceeding joy;
And on the harp I will praise You,
O God, my God.
Psa 43:5
Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.
And plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

My Thoughts
Listen to We Are by Kari Jobe
Some say that this is a prophecy of what the people will cry during in the Tribulation.
Interesting point.
However, when David wrote this, he was just wanting to go back to the tabernacle.
Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your tabernacle.
Oh how I long for the Light and Truth to be sent to us today. I just can't wait to hear that trumpet sound and we all get caught up together. The rapture would be so awesome right about now.
So I say with David, Oh Send our Your light and Your truth.
Of course Jesus already came to to the world. He is the true light of the world.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of theworld. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have thelight of life.” John 8:4
Yet when he was here, he told us that we are the light of the world as well.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
“Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)
So as we are here on Earth, let's continue to shine God's light and truth wherever we go.
I can't help but listen to the song by Kari Jobe- We Are
That song encourages me every time.
Finally, I love this phrase tucked in verse 4
To God my exceeding joy;
Is God your exceeding Joy today?
My Exceeding Joy. I just like hearing that.
Oh may the Lord be your exceeding Joy this Christmas Season. May the love and joy He brings illuminate your heart and life that men may be impressed to fall on their knees before Him.
To God my exceeding Joy.
Blessings.
