[[A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah.]]
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Psa 48:2
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Psa 48:3
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
Psa 48:4
For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
Psa 48:5
They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, andhasted away.
Psa 48:6
Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
Psa 48:7
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
Psa 48:8
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.
Psa 48:9
We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Psa 48:10
According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Psa 48:11
Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Psa 48:12
Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
Psa 48:13
Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
Psa 48:14
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

My Thoughts
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
I just want to take a little pause here in this Psalm because of a situation that occurred in my life. My friend's grandmother just passed away yesterday at the beautiful age of 91.
I can't tell you how shocked I was when I heard the news. I just had gone to visit her in her rehab facility not even a week before. She looked great and she was sitting there playing cards with her husband and son (Pastor John) and a new Jewish friend (Lewis). We all were sitting laughing and having a wonderful time. Then I kissed her goodbye; that was the final goodbye.
Mrs. Helen Boyer was one of the women that I looked up to in life. She loved the Lord so much and was devoted to serving Him everyday. Her laughter was contagious and her love was endless.
One of my favorite memories was going down to San Clemente, where the family camped every summer, and seeing her still enjoying the beach and camping with her family; she'd even sport a bathing suit. I loved it. "I want to be like her one day" I remembering thinking often.
Mrs. Boyer was a true servant and follower of Christ. To know her was to love her.
Her family is amazing. Her legacy is continuing through her family. Her daughter Gaelynn Ambrose and her daughter Amber Sides are especially close to my heart. This family adopted me in to their hearts in 1995 when I met and played volleyball with Amber at Orange Coast College. I started to attend the college bible study their church (Seaside) and meet so many wonderful people.
I can't tell you how blessed I've been to be loved by them.
Anyway, Helen made a huge impact on my life and it feels hardly feels possible that she has moved to heaven. As God promised here in this Psalm, He will be a guide even until death.
God has guided Mrs. Helen home and we await to be reunited with her one day.
You are forever in our hearts.
2Co 5:1-10
For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad
In keeping with the Psalm, I just wanted to say that one day we will be all together with Christ. For those who are His children, we will finally be all together.
If you are unsure about where you will spend eternity, let me share with you. God says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. As soon as we take our last breath here on Earth, we take our first breaths in eternity. For those who have accepted God's gift of salvation in their lives we go to heaven. For those who continue to live a life apart from God on Earth will continue to live a life apart from Christ in eternity.
The way to insure your eternal life is to receive God's forgiveness of sin and surrender your life to His will.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" Romans 10:9-10
Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life today. He will cleanse you from all sin and create in you a beautiful life full of Hope, Peace, and Faith.
What a beautiful Christmas present you could give God: you.
What a beautiful day that will be.
Blessings to you.
Comment below if you just received the Lord. I would love to be hear your story.
Thank you
