Psa 64:1
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation;
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Psa 64:2
Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
Psa 64:3
Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words,
Psa 64:4
That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.
Psa 64:5
They encourage themselves in an evil matter;
They talk of laying snares secretly;
They say, “Who will see them?”
Psa 64:6
They devise iniquities:
“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.
Psa 64:7
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they shall be wounded.
Psa 64:8
So He will make them stumble over their own tongue;
All who see them shall flee away.
Psa 64:9
All men shall fear,
And shall declare the work of God;
For they shall wisely consider His doing.
Psa 64:10
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him.
And all the upright in heart shall glory.

My Thoughts
Talk about warfare. Wow. In this Psalm, David spends the majority of it on the wicked ways of the enemy, but don't fear, God is the victor in the end.
(Verse 1)
Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation;
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
What I like about this verse is that he is asking God to preserve his life from FEAR. Fear is such a crippling thing. How many times do we fear things that never appear? How many times did we fear things only to find out it wasn't as bad as we thought?
You see fear itself is an enemy to us. We can live our lives in fear and really be paralyzed from trying new adventures, taking on new possibilities, and walking to new heights in life.
I find it interesting that most every time an Angel appeared in the bible their first words are "Fear Not". As humans we are prone to fear.
If you fear a lot, then I think it's a good thing to pray this prayer of David
"preserve my life from fear".
Fear itself can rob us of our victory in Christ. Don't let it.
May God just pour over you His strength and courage to face this day and every day forward. No matter how dark and evil this world, God is in control and He is with us.
(Verse 7-8)
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they shall be wounded.
So He will make them stumble over their own tongue;
All who see them shall flee away.
After David pours out his heart about the enemies tactics, he bring is all back to God. I do have to say that there is wisdom in knowing the strategies of Satan. I am so surprise to find that a lot of people don't even consider spiritual warfare to be a factor in their lives. One book I recommend everyone to read is "Strategies of Satan" by Warren Weirsbe. It's awesome. In it the author tells you that Satan will keep you from reading it in it's entirety. You know I found that to be true. Every time I went to read it, I would always got distracted from finishing that book. It took me over 2 years to finally read it. I pushed through and conquered it. It's awesome.
So knowing the tactics of the enemy is a good thing, so long as you always bring God back into the forefront of your mind.
Sometimes people can get hung up on the enemy and keep their focus on him. That's not right. We need to focus on Jesus and look to Him because no matter what the enemy is doing, God has a bigger more effective plan.
Look how God showed up for David. He didn't have to do a thing and God intervened.
God is well acquainted with warfare, and He is going to come back like a roaring Lion the Bible talks about. Look at Revelation and all the warfare that book talks about that is coming soon.
You know people aren't seeing this aspect of God today, but God is a warrior. So many times in the Old Testament when Israel was at war it says that God destroyed more people than the armies themselves.
God is no God to mess with.
That's why the only thing to really fear in this life is to have the fear of the Lord. It's different than panic fear, it's a reverence and an honor for Him.
God is a radical spirit and He knows how to wage our warfare for us. Trust Him.
Look how it says that God will make them stumble over their own tongue. Only God could do that for us.
If you are in a situation where people are lying about you and saying false hoods, run to God for defense. He can make them "eat their words" lol. You stay faithful. You stay doing those things that please the Lord, and watch God work these things out for you. Seriously.
(verse 9)
All men shall fear,
And shall declare the work of God;
For they shall wisely consider His doing.
It's a wonderful thing to know that every one will bow before the Lord God. Not a single tongue, not a single knee will go without giving Glory to God. Amen.
Make sure your do it here on Earth, because waiting till the afterlife will be too late. Even your enemies will bow one day, but their destiny might not be what yours will be. Pray for them so that they can know and understand God before it's too late.
Psa 64:10
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him.
And all the upright in heart shall glory.
Amen. You shall be glad in the Lord.
Remember the enemy wants to take your JOY, but don't you let him. Fight for it. For the Joy of the Lord is your strength.(Neh 8:10)
There is something wonderful about praising the Lord no matter how difficult your circumstances may be. God will honor you for honoring Him.
He loves you. Praise Him. Be Glad.
Let your heart glory in the Lord and all the wonderful things He has done.
Don't know where to start?
Start by praising Him for you.
Honestly, start with your very existence and thank Him for counting you worth to be born.
You are a royal treasure a child of the Most Hight God.
He created you and loves you, Thank Him for that.
Remember, when fear wants to drown you and the enemy surrounds you, Look up, look up to the One who made you. He is mighty to save, every time.
Blessings
