To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Psa 66:2
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Psa 66:3
Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
Psa 66:4
All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
Psa 66:5
Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
Psa 66:6
He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
Psa 66:7
He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
Psa 66:8
Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
Psa 66:9
Who keeps our soul among the living,
And does not allow our feet to be moved.
Psa 66:10
For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
Psa 66:11
You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
Psa 66:12
You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.
Psa 66:13
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay You my vows,
Psa 66:14
Which my lips have uttered
And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
Psa 66:15
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals,
With the sweet aroma of rams;
I will offer bulls with goats. Selah
Psa 66:16
Come and hear, all you who fear God,
And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
Psa 66:17
I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue.
Psa 66:18
If I regard iniquity in my heart,
The Lord will not hear.
Psa 66:19
But certainly God has heard me;
He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Psa 66:20
Blessed be God,
Who has not turned away my prayer,
Nor His mercy from me!
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!

My Thoughts
"Psalm of Praise to the Lord. This has no historical record."J.V.McGee.
When I look at this Psalm, I see the praise of victory.
Victory in what God has done. Praise for what the future holds, and how God has kept our lives in the here and now.
Look with me of some of those I found.
Verse 3 the enemies will submit to God. Every person will confess that He is God. Any enemy you have currently, will eventually submit themselves to God. They will be face to face with God and will have to give an account for the wrong they've done to you. Leave them into God's hands.
Verse 4 all the earth will praise Him. His kingdom will be established forever.Won't that be just a glorious time. Finally, one day God will be here on Earth with us. Amazing.
Verse 5 they were able to cross on dry ground to cross Red Sea and Jordan Rivers. If that doesn't amaze you, I don't know what will.
Verse 9. He keeps us alive. Think of that, God is keeping you alive. Praise Him. Lately, my family and I have been battling sickness. Sometimes I think that they will never pass, yet everyone has. God is so faithful. He is keeping your soul alive on Earth. Why? because He loves you and has a plan for your life. Seek Him and He will show you just what He desires for you.
Verse 12. In every trial we face, He is with us and will bring us out into rich fulfillment. (I like that ................rich fulfillment. When God does things, He does it with abundance.) But did you see what they had to go through: testings, afflictions on their backs, men rode over their heads, went through the water through fire. Wow! Then they were brought to the place of rich fulfillment. This life is full of troubles and trials. It prepares us for our heavenly home. Just know that whatever you are facing, God will bring you to victory. Hang in there. It will be worth it in the end.
Verse 19 God heard and attended to his prayer. With the things I am going through, I have found great comfort in knowing that God hears. I don't necessarily know how He is going to answer, yet I know He hears. Keep praying to God. He hears.
Verse 20 Finally, God has not turned away His mercy. Amen.
The Bible says that
Neh 9:31 Nevertheless in Your great mercy
You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them;
For You are God, gracious and merciful
and Lamentations 3:22
Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
God's love is sustaining us everyday.
This morning when you awoke, God's love sustained you.
This afternoon when you were busy about your day, God's love sustained you.
This evening when you retire to your bed, God's love sustained you.
Oh the love of Christ and how He's love sustains us. Praise Him.
Just listing these victories has brought to me such joy and praise to me heart.
Praise you God for everything.
What about you? Is there at least one of these things that you can praise God for?
Please comment below, I would love to hear from you.
Blessings
P.S. I couldn't resist just a couple of more things.
Two other verse that caught my attention were:
Verse 13-14
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay You my vows,
Which my lips have uttered
And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
I like the integrity of his heart. Here he makes some kind of promise or vow to God during a hard time, and he goes to fulfill it. Have we ever done that? Oh God if you will just _____ then I will ____. How many of us have forgotten to carry out those things. God knows. I like what my gramps said before, "Don't make promises." I like that. If you don't really intend to keep what you promise, don't promise. I made a promise to God years ago, that I regretted a bit later. I tried ever way to get out of it, I lost the motive and heart behind it. What I intended at the time was heartfelt but it eventually turned out to be a bit of bitterness to my soul. Be careful to promise and be careful to vow. I like that here, he did carry out what he promised to God, his integrity led him to victory.
And Finally
Verse 18
If I regard iniquity in my heart,
The Lord will not hear.
I like the cleanliness of his heart. You know as Christians we are to reckon the old man dead. We are still sinners but sin doesn't or shouldn't have the same hold on us.
Romans 6:11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin,
but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It's important that we don't let any sin keep us from a victorious christian living. We might struggle with things, but we shouldn't give power to those things to bind us. Right?
Confess you sin for God wants to remove that barrier between you and Him.
He is greater than I. He loves you.
David goes on to say,
But He has heard me.
We are sinners but with confession comes cleansing and forgiveness and an open heart and ear of God to hear.
He loves you.
Shout out some praise to God today. Isn't He worthy?
Blessings.
