A Meditationfn of David, which he sang to the LORDconcerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite.
O LORD my God, in You I put my trust;
Save me from all those who persecute me;
And deliver me,
Psa 7:2
Lest they tear me like a lion,
Rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
Psa 7:3
O LORD my God, if I have done this:
If there is iniquity in my hands,
Psa 7:4
If I have repaid evil to him who was at peace with me,
Or have plundered my enemy without cause,
Psa 7:5
Let the enemy pursue me and overtake me;
Yes, let him trample my life to the earth,
And lay my honor in the dust. Selah
Psa 7:6
Arise, O LORD, in Your anger;
Lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies;
Rise up for mefn to the judgment You have commanded!
Psa 7:7
So the congregation of the peoples shall surround You;
For their sakes, therefore, return on high.
Psa 7:8
The LORD shall judge the peoples;
Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness,
And according to my integrity within me.
Psa 7:9
Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
But establish the just;
For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.
Psa 7:10
My defense is of God,
Who saves the upright in heart.
Psa 7:11
God is a just judge,
And God is angry with the wicked every day.
Psa 7:12
If he does not turn back,
He will sharpen His sword;
He bends His bow and makes it ready.
Psa 7:13
He also prepares for Himself instruments of death;
He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.
Psa 7:14
Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity;
Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.
Psa 7:15
He made a pit and dug it out,
And has fallen into the ditch which he made.
Psa 7:16
His trouble shall return upon his own head,
And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.
Psa 7:17
I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

My Thoughts
This is a cry of David against a sinful man that has done him wrong.
You know I think we all must have some situation or incident in our lives where we could feel this way: unjustly, unfair, or others might have had purposeful persecution.
2 Timothy 3:12 states "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution".
As a follower of Christ, we will suffer; we will have persecution. We are following a heavenly way that is in direct opposition to where this world wants to do. In addition, we have an adversary (Satan):" Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:7. David speaks of this Lion vs 2.
Although these things are true, listen carefully, God is watching. He sees and listen, "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord" Romans 12:19.
Just like David, we need to remind ourselves that God is the Just Judge and will Judge according to His righteous standards. IF anyone has harmed you, Big Daddy is going to do what's right for you. Our job is to keep ourselves from bitterness and vengeance so He can handle the problem.
I think that's why my favorite verse is the last one because all things considered, David sings our to the Lord vs 17
I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
David turns the persecution into a time of praise. How? He focused on the goodness and justice of God and committed his problems into the One that is Able to Defend for Him.
Hide in the Arms of God today, let Him defend, let Him work on your behalf; I know of no other Judge so Amazing.
Turn those tears to triumph of praise.
Blessings
