Psa 75:1
To the Chief Musician. Set to “Do Not Destroy.”[fn] A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
Psa 75:2
“When I choose the proper time,
I will judge uprightly.
Psa 75:3
The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved;
I set up its pillars firmly. Selah
Psa 75:4
“I said to the boastful, ‘Do not deal boastfully,’
And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn.
Psa 75:5
Do not lift up your horn on high;
Do not speak with a stiff neck.’ ”
Psa 75:6
For exaltation comes neither from the east
Nor from the west nor from the south.
Psa 75:7
But God is the Judge:
He puts down one,
And exalts another.
Psa 75:8
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup,
And the wine is red;
It is fully mixed, and He pours it out;
Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth
Drain and drink down.
Psa 75:9
But I will declare forever,
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
Psa 75:10
“All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off,
But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”

My Thoughts
Song of deliverance.
Verse 1
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
Amen.
It is so wonderful to give God thanks. He has done so much for us. He is doing so much for us. He will continue to do so much for us. He is worthy of thanks and praise today.
This verse reminds me of the response Jesus gave to John when sent a message from prison.
Jesus answered John and said in Matthew 11:4-5
Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see,
“The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them."
He was reminding John that He was the Messiah by the very wondrous works that He was doing among the people.
What memory do you have of the Lord? What works has God done for you?
Those should remind you that He is Near. His name is near.
Psalm 145:18
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
I like that. Do you?
Give God thanks for being near to you today.
Verse 2
“When I choose the proper time,
I will judge uprightly.
There is an appointed time for Judgement. We can rest assured as children of God that are judgement is in the form of rewards for works; however, not so with those who don't follow Jesus. Their judgement leads to eternal punishment.
One day evil will be no more. All wickedness will be wiped away from the Earth.
Even thought we might see sin increase on the Earth, it will have it's final moment, and then forever it will be gone.
Verse 6-7
For exaltation comes neither from the east
Nor from the west nor from the south.
But God is the Judge:
He puts down one,
And exalts another.
What's been comforting me lately is this one simple truth: God knows already. God has all of the things that pertain to this world in control. As we approach another election year, I can only thank God that He will set up who He has determined for His purpose. We only need to pray and cry out to Him to put a righteous leader in charge. Yet, if not then His purpose will be done through is elected.
God will set them up and take another down. He is completely in control.
How do I know?
Remember the dream of Daniel? He saw the Golden Headed Statue. Well, it represented all the kingdoms that the Earth would have all the way to the end. God knows who will be enthroned with the 10 toes of clay and iron.
So just as the song says, "It's not falling apart, It's falling into place."
Amen.
Verse 9
But I will declare forever,
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
NO matter what the wicked is doing. No matter what is happening around, we need to purpose to continue to praise the Lord through it all.
I like that.
There is just something beautiful that happens when we praise.
It makes the enemy and his demons flee. It makes our minds be lifted up to God. It cause our hearts to be encouraged. It reminds us the power of God. It opens a gateway for God to move powerfully on our behalf. And of course, it blesses God.
It's our duty, our created right to praise the Lord.
Verse 10
“All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off,
But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”
Amen. Here is our future. For those who follow the Lord, we will live with Christ forever. What a beautiful reward for just trusting in God.
One day, the righteous will be bloom over the Earth.
Hold on dear Christian, it's hard now but our future is perfect and the best is yet to come for us.
Blessings.
